This unique organisation connects young minds with meaningful project management, bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world impact.

ReachONE connects social organisations with mentored young student volunteers to assist them in their journeys of social transformation. Volunteers and beneficiaries are connected via online video sessions that are supervised and guided by mentors.

The Challenge: Fostering Student Engagement

ReachONE faced a distinctive challenge in making its student volunteer program more engaging and impactful. Their goal was to provide students with enriching mentor-led projects that align with their interests and passions and be recognized for their efforts.

Journey Through a Student Volunteer’s Eyes

Aryan, an enthusiastic student at St. Xavier’s High School, Mumbai, began his journey of change when he joined their program through his school. His mission was to contribute to a project that aligned with his passion for digital literacy.

• Discovering Opportunities: Aryan easily explored a range of projects on ReachONE’s platform, i.e. www.reachone.in, from digital literacy to women empowerment. He felt motivated to get involved as projects were tailored to his interests.

• Mentor-Guided Learning: Aryan was new when he started. He knew little about how he could contribute meaningfully and his mentor Suhani helped him into discovering various ways of volunteering. Aryan embarked on a project focused on digital literacy for underprivileged youth. His mentor, Suhani, guided him through the project, providing valuable insights and knowledge.

• Recognition and Certificates: Upon successful completion of the project, Aryan received a certificate of achievement from ReachONE and their partner nonprofit. This recognition not only boosted his confidence but also added a valuable achievement to his academic portfolio.

Project was managed from end-to-end, from selecting a particular project to receiving a certificate through Platform Commons‘ Collaborate, a project mangement software.
